Joshua Smith, MST - Global Citizen Journeys
Joshua first started in the industry in 2007 when he began working for the international consortia Virtuoso in Seattle, WA. After managing Preferred Tour Operators, Joshua focused on further developing the Tourism Board portfolio within the network. Having worked with hundreds of companies and governments, in 2010, Joshua launched a representation company, 45 Degrees Marketing focused on the promotion of international ground operators to the US trade industry. Through this, he consulted with other brands such as Travel Marketing Worldwide, managing the Middle Eastern portfolio and served as the U.S. office for Asia Reps/Luxury Reps . In 2012, Joshua sold the company and started a self-branded consulting company, landing a contract with Travcoa as Independent Journeys Product Manager developing 140 programs in more than 70 countries and launching strategic partnership programs with tourism boards. In August 2013, travAlliancemedia appointed Joshua to the hot list of 'Rising Stars' of the travel industry. Joshua was promoted in 2015 to Associate Director of Private Travel for Travcoa handling strategy, marketing and sales. In October 2016, Joshua launched a boutique travel company, Global Citizen Journeys and returned to consulting within international tourism development. In early 2018, he joined South African Tourism, managing travel trade relations for the government of South Africa on the West Coast of the US. Then in late 2019, a few months prior to the pandemic, Joshua worked for Goway Travel as Tourism Partnerships Manager, working with international tourism boards on marketing initiatives. In 2021, he completed his Master of Sustainable Tourism Degree at Arizona State University and returned to consulting with a focus on sustainability and policy development. In 2022, Joshua relocated to Cape Town, South Africa to launch a new retreat and continues to focus on the growth of Millennials in Travel and his travel agency.

Monika Weinsoft - aqua expeditions
Monika began her career in travel in 2003 and quickly earned distinction as an expert in the luxury cruise market, including recognition as one of the "30 Best Travel Advisors Under 30" by Travel Agent Magazine in 2008. As a Luxury Travel Advisor for ten years, Monika focused on family and celebration travel. In 2013, Monika joined Travoca as a Custom Journey Planner designing tailor-made journeys around the globe with a focus on exotic destinations. Simultaneously she supported the launch of Millennials in Travel, a career development and networking organization for young professionals in the travel industry. In 2015, Monika shifted her industry expertise to the world of outside sales, representing International Expeditions and Zegrahm Expeditions in the Western US and Canada. Monika joined the Aqua Expeditions team in early 2018 as Director of Sales for the US and Canada, overseeing all sales channels and activities for North America.

kate mayer ROSS - Enchanting travels
Kate graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a BA in Communication. Before ever leaving the country, she knew early on she wanted to see the world, and a backpacking trip across Europe at 18 helped solidify this. After a career in entertainment instilled a rigorous work ethic, she realized her passion could also be her career, and worked at Travcoa which then merged with its sister company, TCS World Travel for 7 years. Kate now works as a Travel Consultant at Enchanting Travels. She has traveled to over 50 countries and is working towards becoming fluent in Spanish.
