MILLENNIALS IN TRAVEL INVITES YOU to The Luxurious adventure of Vermejo, A Ted turner reserve

AUGUST 15-18, 2024

Join Millennials in Travel in partnership with Vermejo, a Ted Turner Reserve, a respected leader in regenerative tourism, offering historic luxury accommodations and high-touch service in one of North America’s most dramatic, natural destinations. With over 550,000 stunning acres of picturesque, rewilded lands, Vermejo is the jewel of Northern New Mexico, replete with snowcapped alpine tundra, vast forests and prairie land, 19 lakes and 137 miles of rivers and streams. Its diverse landscape is a sanctuary to a wide variety of endangered and sensitive species, and home to the great American bison, elk, pronghorn, black bears, beaver and mountain lions. Whether riding horseback through open fields, exploring turn-of-the-century charcoal kilns, rock climbing the via ferrata or fly fishing for Rio Grande cutthroat trout, Vermejo provides the perfect locale for couples, families and group travelers alike.

(Participants can elect to make their own way to the resort; possible airport options include Denver, Colorado Springs, Albuquerque & Santa Fe, followed by a 3-4 hour drive. However, Millennials in Travel will provide an optional shared transfer vehicle driven by the MIT host to/from the Denver airport at a cost of $150 per person. Participants will need to arrive no later than 12pm on August 15th & depart no earlier than 5pm on August 18th.)

On arrival of this 3-night program, guests are greeted with a warm Ted Turner Reserves welcome before being shown to their rooms. The group will come together for cocktails on Vermejo’s Veranda, followed by a sumptuous dinner in the Main Lodge, where Executive Chef Giovanni Lanzante and his culinary team prepare selections from an a la minute menu ‘of the land’, featuring the most organic, regionally sourced proteins and produce harvested.

The group will tour Vermejo’s diverse accommodations; from turn-of-century manors and cottages once frequented by Hollywood’s Golden Era elite, to remote cabin and lodge offerings with unfettered access to wilderness as far as the eye can see.

During your stay, you will have the opportunity to tour this unparalleled example of large landscape conservation in North America, seeing bison, bear, elk, deer, antelope raptors and many other native species thriving on this biodiverse property, and learn about the longstanding efforts that have aided in rewilding this magnificent property.

Guests will be able to enjoy experiences of their choosing to connect with nature and the land during their stay, such as horseback riding, flyfishing, hiking or e-mountain biking, Via Ferrata climbing and more. Those guests wishing to share in this conservation legacy can choose to take part in an organized, hands-on group experience that will have a lasting, positive impact on the environment.

This FAM opportunity is open to travel advisors who are currently employed and/or actively selling travel and media who are engaged in the promotion of luxury travel.

Worried about being away from the office? We recognize that MIT members need to balance heavier than normal workloads while still embracing opportunities to experience new destinations and properties. Rest assured, free time has been scheduled into the daily FAM agenda for time to catch up on emails or embrace some much needed down time.
